Happy Tuesday!

Today we had a special visitor from Variety Alberta, her name is Sasha. Sasha came in to talk to the boys about disabilities. She talked about some of the disabilities people may have and the tools they use to help them. EX: A cane for someone who is visually impaired, a wheel chair, even wheels to help a furry friend move around. She wanted to get the message across to the boys that even though people may look different on the outside, they are still the same on the inside. She will be coming back for another visit in March.

Here's what the boys had to say about the day:

How did we grow today?
·     I made Stitch and Leo’s baton out of melty beads.
·     Today I played in the water table with a friend.
·     At water center I put all the marbles in the tubes. Then Mrs. Temple put bubbles in the water.
·     We played parachute games in gym again.
·     I read stories in the quiet space. I also played in the block center with a friend.
·     We learned about disabilities this morning, a speaker came to talk to us.
·     I made a heart out of melty beads.
·     In gym, we made waves with the parachute and had to go under the waves to get treasure.

Reminders:

  • Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day if your son would like to wear a pink shirt to school tomorrow he can.
