Happy Tuesday!

Today we finished up our unit on patterns. Next week we will be starting a new unit in math: measurement. Just a reminder that if your son would like to bring in any items from home that begin with the letter K to share with his peers that would be great!

Here's what the boys had to say about the day:

How did we grow today?
·      In the water table, we tried to catch the fish (marbles), they kept slipping out of our hands.
·     We did some more patterning in math today. We practiced labeling our patterns (AB, ABC, AAB, ABB).
·     In gym we played soccer, and a bowling game.
·     I made a melty bead moon.
·     I built a structure in construction center with my friend that was a zoo and a garage.

I forgot to mention that the boys have earned another class prize. They decided that they wanted to work towards a movie and special treat. I will be bringing in Timbits for the movie snack. If your son doesn’t like Timbits or you’d prefer he not eat them could you please send your son with a special snack to enjoy while watching the movie.

Happy Sunday! I just turned on my computer today and noticed I forgot to post on Thursday. The letter of the week next week is F, please feel free to send any items that start with the letter F to share during morning meeting. Here's what the boys had to say abut Thursday: How did we grow today? ·     In gym, we played a game called knock it off. ·     We did calendar this morning during morning meeting. ·     We made different coloured patterns today. ·     During centers, we did melty beads. ·     In centers, I built a zoo. ·     I played in the sand table and made a zoo. ·     I made bracelets during centers. Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Today we learned about the letter U. We learned what sound it makes and some words that begin with that letter. Ask your son if he can name something that starts with the letter U. Here's what the boys had to say about the day: How did we grow today? ·      I drew a lion, and a fish and I played in the water table. ·      When we were in gym we played Mission Impossible and we have two days left. ·      We practiced writing the letter U, and we talked about what words start with the letter U. ·      I coloured during centers. ·      I drew a UFO on a white board during snack time. ·      I made an aquarium in the water table during centers. ·      I built a zoo with a friend during centers. ·      We did Go Noodle and leveled our guy up. ·      We practiced a lockdown.
