Hello,

Today we started learning about the letter of the week; E! I asked the boys if they knew any words that started with the letter E, and they came up with quite a list of words. During work time, the boys did an activity for their letter books. Since the letter of the week is E, I had the boys glue eyes to their upper case letter E.

This is what the boys had to say about the day:


How did we grow today?
·     In gym, we played different tag games.
·     During centers, I made a beaded bracelet and a melty bead.
·     During centers, I played in the sand and I made a shark aquarium.
·     I made a Poke ball out of melty beads.
·     I played with a Rubik’s Cube
·     The letter of the week is E.
·     I did some drawing during center time.

Happy Wednesday! Today is Pink Shirt Day. We watched a short YouTube video that showed the boys what pink shirt day is all about. We then had a discussion about ways we show kindness to others and some things we can do if we see someone being mistreated. Some of the things the boys mentioned were: Helping someone when they get hurt Ask someone to play with you on the playground If you see someone being unkind to another person stand up for that person. Tell the person to stop being unkind, and ask the other person if they're okay Ask for help from an adult: parents, teachers, principal, grandparents, etc. Ask them to come over for a playdate Smiling at someone Sharing toys, materials or snacks Giving someone a compliment After our discussion the boys chose their favourite way they show kindness and they drew that on a pink t-shirt. Happy Wednesday! We had a very busy morning today. During our work period we did science. We are learning about plants and their needs. We read the book We Are The Gardeners which taught us about what plants need to grow. Each boy then drew a picture in their visual journal showing 3 of the needs of plants: water, soil and sun. Next, each boy had the opportunity to plant a flower. We will be observing and documenting the growth of our plants in our plant journal. Ask your son if he remembers what kind flower we planted. The boys also earned enough class points to watch a movie. The boys chose to watch a Wild Kratts show. Hello Kindergarten families! Today the boys practiced writing the letter F. They also drew a picture of something that starts with the letter F. Ask your son what he drew, and if he can name a few things that start with the letter F. Here's what the boys had to say about today: How did we grow today? ·     We played in the water table today. ·     I did melty beads during center time. ·     In gym, we did gymnastics. ·     We had a mystery mess. ·     Tomorrow in gym  we are doing climbing. ·     We built a Lego boat during centers. ·     We made an aquarium out of blocks during center time. ·     I’m getting better at tidying up my toys, and other people’s toys. ·     We practiced writing the letter F in our printing books.
